Course Overview:

The purpose of this course is to provide Safety Managers, Consultants and Insurance Specialists with the skills they need to understand, analyze, predict, reduce and eliminate risk associated with the transportation industry.  The following topics are covered: 

• Risk Management Overview: Evaluating your organization’s business from a risk management perspective; the 7-Step risk management process
• Risk Analysis and Assessment: Risk assessment overview; using risk assessment process to improve your safety results; using risk assessment tools
•  Loss Prevention/Control and Insurance: Identify the 4 classifications of risk; discuss tools used to identify risk; 6 techniques for risk control; excess limits and umbrella policies; loss prevention/control techniques
• Transportation Specific Risks:  Identify some of the major risks in the transportation industry, as well as your specific operation
